Citrus Connection Takes Fans Out To The Ballgame.
Citrus Connection has announced the return of TIGERTOWN Express that provides fare free rides from four locations in Lakeland to Tigertown for all home Detroit Tigers Spring Training games.
Fans can avoid the traffic and crowded parking lots. The TIGERTOWN Express picks up fans at Gow B. Fields Park & Ride, Lakeland Park Center, Rose Street Park & Ride, Lakeside Village and the RP Funding Center and takes them to Joker Marchant Stadium. Citrus Connection placed TIGERTOWN Express flags at these select locations. All TIGERTOWN Express services are open to the public and ADA accessible.
The TIGERTOWN Express provides service for every home Spring Training Game.
Routes:
To provide more city-wide accessibility, there will be two routes: a north & a south route.
The North route would pick up riders from Lakeland Park Center & the Gow B. Fields Park & Ride facilities to drop off straight to the Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium. We anticipate an approximate 10-12-minute route frequency for the North shuttle service.
The South route would pick up riders from the RP Center, Rose Street Park & Ride to/from the Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium. We anticipate a 13-15-minute route frequency for the South shuttle service.
Park & Ride Facilities:
Attendees are able to park/board the shuttle at the following Park & Ride facilities:
- Gow B. Fields Park & Ride
- Lakeland Park Center
- Rose Street Park & Ride
- RP Funding Center
Hotel Service:
The TIGERTOWN Express has expanded its service to include the hotels in the Lakeside Village area of Lakeland. The TIGERTOWN Express will pick up fans from the Hampton Inn and Suites, Homes2Suites by Hilton, Courtyard by Marriott and the Residence Inn. The TIGERTOWN Express will serve the hotels every 18-20 minutes.
